Voting Versus the Market

Posted by Eric F. Langborgh on 08 Feb 2008 at 11:33 am

This is fascinating.

I won’t go into the arguments in the article  — you will have to read it yourself ;) — but it underscores why the Founders despised the idea of democracy — what they called “mob rule” — so much.  It is no wonder that as our country has come unmoored from the Constitution and “advanced” further and further towards pure democracy, that government has become nearly all-encompassing and powerful; again, clearly against the Founders’ wishes for America.
