Please check out this graph. Ron Paul is on the verge of raising more in one day than he did all last month, when he brought in $2.7 million. He even has a shot at bringing in nearly as much today as he did all last quarter, when he shocked the world by nearly matching John McCain, taking in $5.1 million. In fact, Ron Paul will soon eclipse Mike Huckabee’s fundraising total for the year — IN JUST ONE DAY!!!

UPDATE: I just learned that the single-day record for online political fundraising during the primary season is $2.3 million. With just over ten hours remaining, Ron Paul is already at $2 million. Prediction: He flies past the record by 5pm EST and never looks back. (CORRECTION! Record was apparently broken at ~3:50pm!!!) Next stop: $3.1 million — the largest day ever for a Republican primary campaign (Mitt Romney on January 8, 2007). Yup, I believe Dr. Paul will pass that one, too. (He did! — just before 7pm. Now it is 11:18pm and it looks like he’ll top $4 million, with contributions coming from well over 35,000 individual donors — another record. That’s what you call true, fervent, grassroots support, folks. What an incredible day!)
