If Ron Paul Isn’t a “Credible” Candidate, What Does That Make Mitt Romney?

Posted by Eric F. Langborgh on 19 Jul 2007 at 10:44 am

The GOP Establishment has from the beginning of the 2008 campaign attempted to dismiss Ron Paul’s candidacy as “not credible.”  This despite the unprecedented Internet following he has attracted, the huge rallies across the nation for him, and the fact that he is now climbing the polls and raising much more money.  Anyway, I took care of this silly non-argument re: “credibility” in this post.

Over at LewRockwell.com is another good way of looking at it, though, related to the fact that Ron Paul is now beginning to ascend the polls:

[Mitt] Romney … has spent $32 million for eight Gallup points.

Ron Paul spent $655,000 for three.

Ron’s spending is 18 times as productive as Romney’s.

It seems to me that Ron Paul is gaining steam while some candidates, like Mitt Romney — a supposed “front-runner” — are just spinning their wheels, and spending lots of money doing so.
